This explains what personal information easyBags collects, why, and who it's shared with. The data controller is [company name, registered address, ICO registration number].
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, optional phone number, and your password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form).
- Your bookings: the locker, box size, times, the type of bag and any description you give, prices paid, and what happened at the locker (drop-off and collection times).
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep Stripe's references to your customer record and saved card so that we can charge late collections.
- Your location: only if you press "Use my location". Your browser shares your position with us for that one search; we use it to find nearby lockers and don't store it.
- Technical data: the cookies described in our cookie policy, and server logs (IP address, pages requested) kept for security.
Why we use it
- To make and manage your bookings, send your codes and receipts, and charge for late collection (to perform our contract with you).
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse (our legitimate interests).
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
We send you emails about your bookings only. We don't send marketing. [Update if marketing is added, with consent.]
Who we share it with
- Locker partners (currently Quadient): your booking's codes and box size, and your name and email, so they can reserve and open the box.
- Stripe: to take payments and store your card.
- Our service providers: hosting and email delivery. [List providers once chosen.]
We don't sell your data. [Note any transfers outside the UK and the safeguards used.]
How long we keep it
[Retention periods for accounts, bookings, payment records and logs.]
